The Portraits I create are a painted artistic representation of a person, in which the face and its expressions are predominant. I typically capture the head to shoulder length of the body. The intent is to display the likeness, personality, and even the mood of the person.
The paintings are meant to have a likeness of the picture provided but keep in mind it is a painting not a duplication of the photograph.
To get started with a commission you must contact me first through the form or via email at artmomshay@gmail.com. The image must be approved by artist before deposit is paid!

How long does it take?
I request 30 day turn around for canvases size 8x10 to 24x36
and 45 days for 30x40 or larger.
This Timeframe is subject to change depending on my demand at the time. It could be less or more but my standard that I always try to adhere to is 30days.
Timeframe starts the day deposit is paid, not when we first discuss.

How many faces can I have in one painting?
*8x10,11x14 - max 1 face
*16x20 - max 2 faces
*18x24 - max 3 faces (price listed will cover 2 faces $50 additional face)
*20x30,24x36 - Max 4 faces (Price listed will cover 2 faces $50 each additional face)
*30x40 & Larger- Max 5 faces (Price listed covers 3 faces $50 each additional face)

Can you combine Multiple pictures in one Painting?
Yes this is something I tend to specialize in. But I do need to look over the photos that you would like to use and I would have to make sure they can work together.

Can I get it sooner?
I do offer a Rush option where you can get your painting in two weeks by paying an additional $75.
With this option you must first check with me to see if I have the availability to do the rush order. I apologize in advance but I can not guarantee portrait paintings to be completed in less than 2 weeks.

What is the Deposit?
Deposit is half of the portrait price. Other half is due when painting is completed. Deposit is non-refundable so even if you decided you don't want the final product your deposit is forfeited.

How does Shipping Work?
Local Baltimore/Washington Customers can schedule pick up.
Other States, Shipping is available and shipping cost varies on size of canvas and Shipping location.
Customer responsible for Shipping.
Customer will be made aware of the cost when painting is complete.
